Mayor Bailey called the meeting to order at 5:01 PM in Council Chambers. 

Council returned to open session at 5:24 PM. Mayor Bailey called a recess at this time and reconvened the meeting at 6:00 PM.

    Council move into closed session in Council Chambers at 5:01 PM in accordance with:

    1. Paragraph 239(2)(c) and (k) of the Municipal Act, 2001 to discuss a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board, and a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board, relating to property on Notre Dame Street.

    Receive the Denis St. Pierre Wastewater Treatment Plant and Pump Station Upgrades – Area of Additional Sanitary Capacity report for information; and

    Direct Administration to bring a report providing strategies to support the good planning and development along the County Road 22 corridor and maximize the Municipality's return on infrastructure investment.

    Approve the purchase of five (5) sets of Auto Extrication Tools through Municipal Emergency Services MES – Code 4 Fire & Rescue for $275,000; as approved in the 2024 Capital Budget Item Fire-24-6674; and

    Request the additional capital funding of $2,517 to be taken from the Fire Department Fleet and Equipment Reserves to support the total purchase price of $277,517 including tax, all as presented at the Regular Council meeting of May 14, 2024.

    Approve the purchase of a new fire rescue truck from CET Rescue Trucks through Darch Fire Equipment -1200 degrees for $285,000; as approved in the 2024 Capital Budget Item Fire-24-6673; and

    Return the additional capital funding of $95,000 back to the Fire Department Fleet and Equipment Reserves to support future lifecycle replacement of additional vehicles, all as presented at the May 14, 2024 Council meeting.
